The creators of the Handgun Aptitude Test

The creators of the Handgun Aptitude Test are Mike and Erin Pettengill. The Pettengills are owners and operators of Personal Protection Academy, a fulltime firearms instruction academy and an FFL.

Mike and Erin are certified instructors with the NRA, USCCA and CA DOJ. Erin is a Registered Nurse and Mike is a competitive shooter with the USPSA and a hunter.
